This five track EP details front person Stan Needham-Walker’s mental health journey, grief and loss, recovery and the battle of consistent existentialism. These songs are filled with witty and candid lyrics, with sweet melodies to jarring screams to match. Accompanied by Corrie's groovy bass lines and Jon’s laid back driving drumming style, STAN presents to you their own style of slacker rock.
STAN are an emerging Meanjin (so-called Brisbane, AU) based three-piece band, bringing a refreshingly raw, alt-rock honesty to the fore with their own brand of slacker rock. Vocalist and songwriter Stan crafts every witty and candid lyric with their soul bare, tackling themes of mental health, loss, and addiction. Framed by the full rhythm and drive of Jonny’s laid-back drumming style and complimented by Corrie’s angelic harmonies and melodic bass lines, this ensemble will hit you in the feels as STAN invites listeners to find comfort in shared experiences (and your dad will probably love it too!).
